Welcome to the 2018 Season!
Socials: Sean Twombly, Dionne Koller Fine, Paul Lemar
The social committee is back with a full slate of activities! We’ll kick off the summer with our pool cookout, and continue with our adult socials and food trucks on Friday nights in June and July. Of course we will have the awesome annual July 4th party, and also monthly raft nights. The mid-summer crab feast will be back. We’ll also cap the swim season with our back-to-school cookout.
We’re always looking for additional volunteers to help during events, so let us know if you want to pitch in!
Swim Team: A Reps – Josh and Debi Denney, B Reps – Chris and Cathy Cardno
The mighty Nessies will “Rock the Loch” this summer, aiming to defend their Division H title in the Montgomery County Swim League. Amy Mason will return as head coach, Bridget Dromerick as Assistant Head Coach, and Nick Tondravi and Jerry Lu as Assistant Coaches. We have a summer full of fun planned with weekly themed pep rallies, two relay carnivals, and several team-wide events including a clinic and welcome breakfast, bingo night, movie night, banquet, and some other surprises! Practices will run May 26 to July 17, and the five A meets will start June 13 and five B meets will start June 10. The full calendar and other team information is posted now and will be kept up to date at www.nessies.org.
Pre-team is available for our younger Nessies still learning to swim (usually ages 4-6). Pre-team members will be invited to participate in B meet kickboard races and are included in all team social events.
Nessies registration and spirit wear sales will be entirely online this year. Plan to sign up and pre-order your clothing online at www.nessies.org before May 17. Team suits will be sold by Aardvark Swim & Sport and will also be available for sizing and purchase at the IRC Open House on May 16th and 17th from 1-3pm.

Coach Amy will continue to lead our lesson program for both private and group lessons. We receive many compliments about the high caliber instruction level for both the team and lessons. We offer group, private and semi-private lessons, and suggest you review the information to decide which option is best for you. All lesson instructors have several years of experience, and are eager to work with children of all ability levels. Lessons are 6:40-7:10 Tuesday/Thursday and start June 16.
