We had a great evening planned for socializing on the clubhouse deck and enjoy the food truck, but Mother Nature has put a chill on things. We are cancelling tonights social hour/food truck due to cool temperatures and wet weather.
The Nessies will send out any notifications about the pep rally and the swim meet, if they are affected by the weather.
We’ve got a couple of great ways for grown ups to get their laps in. We will start early bird swimming next Friday, 6/22. These will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:30am-7:30am. This is a great way to get some quiet laps in. No charge to members for early bird.
For those who don’t mind being challenged a little, Nessie Coach Tommy Gillespie will be leading masters swimming workouts. This is a great opportunity to have a group to train with and push you with organized workouts. All levels are welcome, and Coach will welcome feedback on workout content. Cost for the 11 sessions will be $125, and they will be run Mondays and Wednesdays 6:20am to 7:30am, from 6/18 to 7/25 with two makeup dates for weather. Check out our flyer for more details, or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We’ll need 3 masters before we start the workouts, so sign up (bring your form by the pool or email Coach Tommy) and get a friend to sign up too!
Due to cold rain, we are closing early today.
Tomorrow looks a little warmer and less soggy. We’ll open at 3pm.
Come to IRC for dinner on Friday night as we welcome the LA Taco food truck for our first Food Truck Friday. They are bringing their homemade hot sauces, chili con queso, tacos, burritos and more on their menu. Come by and order some great southwestern style food! Beans and rice options are vegetarian and gluten free!
Our first social hour will be Friday, June 15 as we also welcome the El Pollo Submarine food truck for the first time. Food truck will start about 5:30pm, with the social starting at 6:30pm. You won’t want to miss it!
